Software Engineer, Deployment Automation

We are seeking a talented Software Engineer to who has a passion for solving difficult technical problems, from the network to the user experience;
 
Who will relentlessly automate everything and anything at scale (thousands of servers);
Who wants to help make CDN servers and edge compute applications and back-end systems faster, more reliable, more efficient;
Who thinks outside the box to build systems that collect, instrument, analyze data and provide insights about the system
 
Responsibilities:
 
  • Develop tools and processes to automatically manage production services at scale and their associated infrastructure and tools
  • Design, review and guide operations teams on implementation of systems
  • Hands-on coding of automation, tooling and pipeline systems
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to maintain and evolve the platform's engineering roadmap
  • Support the operability roadmap to improve the availability, performance, scalability and efficiency of the services by implementing monitoring, automation, redundancy, capacity and business continuity planning
  • Participation in on-call rotation, drive incident resolution, live troubleshooting and impact mitigation
 
Primary Job Tasks:
 
  • Build and Run deployment automation tools and infrastructure
  • Responsible for all aspects of Configuration Management and Release Engineering activities
  • Implement Continuous Integration via Jenkins &* Git
  • Automating process of new builds loaded onto the hardware/cloud infrastructure
  • Lead and maintain discipline around build and release operations, best-practices, and protocols across the entire development team
  • Run and Maintain different Product environments (QA, staging, production)
  • Requirements:
  • Strong experience in administering, debugging and tuning web apps, containers and related tech
  • Working experience with configuration management tools, such as Salt, OpenStack and Kubernetes.
