Position Summary
The VidScale / Ericsson Unified Delivery Network (UDN) team is seeking a highly motivated Sr. Product Manager to join a fast-paced group working in the CDN and Edge Compute market space. This position will work alongside sales, marketing, professional services and management to meet the needs of a growing global platform to deliver world-class 'Edge Compute' platform. As the Sr. Product Manager for the global edge compute platform you will be responsible for driving the strategic roadmap and alignment by defining and prioritizing market requirements. The ideal candidate will have experience with cloud technologies, strong interpersonal, communication, problem solving, and project management skills. 

Responsibilities & Tasks
  1. Develop a clear understanding of the global edge compute market and the define the future product strategy & roadmap.
  • Identify the technology and business model trends impacting the market and note potential use cases.
  • Periodically re-evaluate the market & the competition landscape.
  • Regularly meet with customers, sales, & partners to identify new growth opportunities.
  • Develop future product vision, roadmap, and business cases to enhance the market position of Ericsson UDN.
  1. Manage the Product Portfolio life-cycle in order to optimize short-term & long-term business objectives.
  • Own product prioritization (new features / feature gaps / integration / quality improvements) and align with product marketing on messaging and strategy.
  • Work with Product Owners to understand the products priorities so that they can effectively manage the backlog in collaboration with other product managers and the R&D team.
  • Collaborate with customers, partners, marketing and other stakeholders to guide new product development activities in a manner that provides unique benefits and superior value to our customers and their end users.
  1.  Pricing Strategy:
  • Define the overall value-based pricing strategy to maximize ROI.
  • Define commercial product packaging & pricing.
  • Monitor and review reference market prices and educate sales & marketing teams.
  1.  Sales Enablement & Marketing communication:
  • Provide clear competitive benchmarks & sales arguments to sales teams.
  • Evangelize/Train sales & technical sales teams on UDN Edge Compute offerings.
  • Work with product marketing to create effective training materials and product collateral.
  • Engage in key customer opportunities with Sales.
Position Qualification / Core Competencies
  • Prior experience in building and driving distributed platform products.
  • Some experience establishing product and business requirements for complex projects.
  • Understanding of the disruptive market potential for UDN.
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Ability to understand technology and to translate that into customer value propositions.
  • Strong Communication and presentation skills.
  • Excellent spoken and written English.
  • Strong knowledge of Cloud and Edge Compute technologies
  • 3+ years prior experience as a strategic product manager in SaaS offerings.
  • Excellent planning and organizational skills.
  • Experience delivering products/solutions using Agile methodology.
Preferred Qualification & Experience Requirements
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, or in a STEM field (Science, Technology, Engineering or Math)
  • Self-directed, ability to identify and contribute to areas for improvement, work productively with a collaborative team
  • Request routing, Layer 2/3 networking, SDN, NFV infrastructure a plus
  • Ability to work in an environment where priorities and tasks may change quickly
