Job Description
 
As the Sr. Product Marketing Manager, you will be responsible for driving aggressive revenue and market share growth for UDN services within the Edge Compute market segment. Product Marketing takes ownership for developing positioning, messaging, competitive differentiation, and enabling the Sales and Marketing teams to ensure they are aligned and work efficiently to generate and close opportunities.  
You will be responsible for the outbound marketing activities for your products. You'll conceive and develop innovative marketing programs that drive demand. Attention to detail and an eye for quality, along with the ability to grasp and translate technical capabilities into customer benefits is crucial.  In your role as a Product Marketing Manager you will be the expert in buyers, how they buy and their buying criteria and will transfer that knowledge to the sales channel.
This is a strategic position within the Products organization, with the opportunity to significantly influence the business. Objectives include segmenting the Edge Compute market into prioritized, profitable targets to increase penetration of UDN services into these environments and increasing brand awareness and perception of Ericsson as a leader in providing platform and infrastructure services with customers, analysts, press, and channels.
 
The right candidate for this role will have
  • Proven success as a product marketing manager for major product lines at both strategic and tactical levels
  • 5+ years of software product marketing experience, experience marketing cloud related technologies preferred
  • Demonstrated ability to develop product positioning and innovative campaign and programs execution that deliver measurable growth in new customer acquisition
  • Strong written, oral communication and interpersonal skills including experience with executives, sales reps, industry analysts and press 
  • Strategic, creative thinking process and be a self-starter that can take responsibility for driving marketing plans and results
  • Excellent people and management skills to interact with staff, colleagues and cross-functional teams, and third parties.
  • Willing to travel as necessary
Key responsibilities
 
  • Positioning and messaging - develop product positioning and messaging that differentiates your products in the market
  • Sales & Technical Sales enablement – communicate the value proposition of the products to the sales team and develop the sales tools that support the selling process of your products 
  • Product launch – plan the launch of new products and releases and manage the cross-functional implementation of the plan
  • Market intelligence – be the expert on your buyers, how they buy and their buying criteria; be the expert on your competition and how to crush them
  • Demand generation – work with marketing to define the buyer and develop targeted demand generation strategies and campaign tactics to build traction and awareness
  • Leadership skills – communicate with internal and external teams to educate and inspire them on UDN solutions 
  • Work independently and lead teams to complete projects and major initiatives using judgment and experience
  • Cross-functional - influence, coordinate and negotiate within cross-functional teams and across the organization
  • Project management – be pro-active, detail-oriented, with the ability to project and process manage as well as managing priorities and time to meet metrics and deadlines
  • Active contributor in virtual teams
