VidScale is a rapidly growing high tech firm with the first distributed edge compute platform that enables services such as content delivery to be deployed on service provider access networks. Our goal is to enable the next generation of applications such as VR/AR, gaming, IoT, and big data to be deployed in a tiered compute infrastructure that enables massive scale with ultra-low latency. Our first service, a massively scalable Content Delivery service is already in production with our OEM partners. VidScale is poised to disrupt the market in a very big way.
 
Background:
 
The candidate will have direct responsibility for team management, coordination and evaluation of the of a team within the larger QA team and have the responsibility for the overall UI testing of the portal web interface to the CDN, as well as manual testing, developing and maintaining automation test.
 
Specific knowledge and skills required include:
 
Responsibilities:
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and manage a team of QA professionals, including automated testers.  
  • Experience in a business model rich in intellectual assets and comfortable working in a fast paced, dynamic and diverse environment.
  • Proven experience in high tech QA teams with requirements analysis and test process planning
  • Demonstrated ability to design and manage manual testing of portal functionality
  • Ability to build processes (and hold people accountable to those processes)
  • Proven ability to deal well with chaos, ambiguity and change;
  • Excellent at building and maintaining relationships, a strong communicator especially with external contractors;
  • Demonstrated record of achievements/results
 
Skills: 
  • Prior Web testing experience
  • Automated testing experience (Web)
  • Knowledge of SDLC practices
  • Knowledge of CI CD processes
  • Knowledge of Agile Scrum processes and practices
